The Invite

Went to ask of Alice 

And hear the things she said. 

Whispering of cabbages 

And soddered cups to fill my head.

In, amongst, amidst the kin, 

she offered to spill of grins, 

fellow monks that saturate 

the silence to begin. 

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“Advancement,” she said, 

“can be discussed over tea.”

Alas, I could not hear her 

for I was too busy singing 

“… and if you go chasing rabbits, 

and you know you’re going to fall…”

Deal yourself in, and always remember that disrespect is nothing but a card to play in the grander pack of our own situational schemes. I invite you to rise above the morning’s crust. Our Earth, our choice, Great Mother, I offer myself to Thee. Show me how I can be of service in the face of adversity and how to join hands in peaceful celebration, even and oddly with hands that claim I must sign away my own right to decision.
